On Nov. 21, 2007 Volcom announced a $10,000 prize for anybody that could successfully land and ride out of a kickflip on a surfboard. Ozzy Wright was considered to be a shoe-in. For whatever reason, three and a half years went by and it never happened. Then come Mar. 4, 2011, Santa Cruz aerialist and magician Zoltan Torkos pulled a rabbit out of his hat and posted what looks to be the winner on YouTube. Coming from "a long line of Italian magicians," maybe Torkos wizardry at Steamer Lane isn't all that surprising. He's come close in several previous clips, which sparked much blogosphere debate. But as you can see below, this kick-flip is no illusion. Looks like Volcom's finally going to have to cut that check.
