Face Time with Nicolas Müller

"At a place like this I can have so much fun without even grabbing my board." -- Nicolas Müller

On a recent trip to Switzerland we were lucky enough to meet up with one of our favorite riders of all time, Nicolas Müller. To argue that Nico, with his unmistakable style and mongoose-like speed and skill, is not one of the best is to say that you have not been paying attention... at all.

Nico was enough to show us around his home mountain of Laax, and it quickly became very clear why Nico chooses to live here. With the playful nature of the terrain and progressive actions of the mountain operations, not to mention the vibe around town, the story that Laax is the epicenter of freestyle snowboarding in Europe is no myth. Host to the Burton European Open and a wealth of snowboarder-friendly amenities like the Riders Palace Hotel, Laax is a place every snowboarder needs to experience -- if not for the ridiculous variety of territory to shred but for the chance to see Nico in his native habitat.
