Blackhawks' Dave Bolland improving
By Jesse Rogers
DETROIT-- Chicago Blackhawks center Dave Bolland has made significant progress in his recovery from a concussion he suffered in early March, according to coach Joel Quenneville.
"Bolly is progressing at a different pace than we saw before, which is encouraging," Quenneville said after practice Friday morning.
Bolland skated on his own in Chicago on Friday. He has been out since taking an elbow to the head from Pavel Kubina of Tampa Bay on March 9. Kubina was suspended for three games for the hit.
Quenneville said Bolland has been cleared for on-ice activities, but no timetable for a return to game action was given.
Bolland has 15 goals and 22 assists in 61 games and was a key defensive player in the Blackhawks' Stanley Cup championship last season.
