CHICAGO -- Chicago Cubs outfield prospect Brett Jackson will miss about a week with a strained ligament in his left pinkie.
Jackson, who plays for Double-A Tennessee, was hit on the hand by a pitch against Huntsville on Wednesday. He saw a hand specialist in Chicago on Thursday and underwent an MRI.
Jackson, 22, is batting .295 with four home runs, 17 RBIs and 13 stolen bases in 32 games with the Tennessee Smokies.
