Eagles re-sign OL Reggie Wells
PHILADELPHIA -- The Eagles have re-signed veteran offensive lineman Reggie Wells.
Wells played in eight games for Philadelphia last year, starting one at left guard -- the regular-season finale against the Cowboys, in which coach Andy Reid started mostly backups because the game meant nothing in the standings.
The 30-year-old Wells started 91 games for Arizona from 2003-09 and was on the 2008 team that beat the Eagles in the NFC championship game before losing to the Steelers in the Super Bowl. He became an unrestricted free agent when last season ended.
The Eagles released defensive tackle Charlie Noonan, who just rejoined the team Wednesday after spending a week with the Eagles earlier this preseason, and wide receiver Brandon Caleb, an undrafted rookie from Oklahoma.
