1
Kyle Busch NASCAR

After starting 17th, Kyle Busch proved he was the car to beat at Michigan. He recorded 42 of the race's fastest laps, and drove into Victory Lane by recording a race-leading 77 quality passes (passing a top-15 car while under a green flag). His +25 green flag pass differential tied his season high in a win, set at Richmond in April.

2
Tim Hudson P

Hudson threw a season-high 30 sliders, using the pitch effectively to get out of jams. He threw his slider 48 percent of the time with runners on, his highest percentage of sliders in that situation in any start in the past three seasons. Diamondbacks hitters were 0-for-4 against Hudson's slider with runners on, including three strikeouts.

3
Torii Hunter OF

Hunter went 2-for-3 with two HRs and five RBIs in a win over the Orioles on Friday, Aug. 19. Hunter went deep off lefty Jo-Jo Reyes in the first inning, and again off righty Willie Eyre in the seventh. It's only the second time since the start of 2009 that Hunter has homered off a lefty and a righty in the same game.

4
David Price P

Price kept the ball off the middle of the plate, with 98 of his 116 pitches (84.5 percent) either on the inner or outer third of the strike zone -- the second-highest percentage of his career. He threw 15 pitches on the black (i.e., the edge of the ball crosses the plate but the center is out of the zone), the most in a start in his career. Price has thrown 201 pitches on the black this season, third most of any pitcher.
