Missouri running back Kendial Lawrence will miss at least four weeks with a broken fibula suffered in Saturday's win over Miami.
Missouri coach Gary Pinkel announced the news on a pair of Kansas City radio stations on Tuesday.
Lawrence, a junior, ran nine times for just 10 yards in the Tigers' opener, but won the starting job over three other backs in preseason camp.
He was listed as even with De'Vion Moore and Henry Josey on the latest depth chart, and those two will likely carry the load in Friday's game at Arizona State.
Lawrence ran 73 times for 422 yards and four touchdowns last season.
