FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez (knee) and defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth (back) were both active for Sunday's 30-21 win against the New York Jets. In both cases. It was their first time on the active roster since Week 2.

Safety Josh Barrett, who has been starting in a rotation-type situation, was out with a hamstring injury. The Patriots figured to have Patrick Chung going wire-to-wire at safety, and then had Sergio Brown, James Ihedigbo and Ross Ventrone filling out the depth chart.

The Patriots also got cornerbacks Leigh Bodden (groin) and Ras-I Dowling (hip) back after both missed last week. Devin McCourty started on one side, and the Patriots had more options on who played the opposite side -- Dowling, Bodden or Kyle Arrington.

Defensive lineman Mike Wright (concussion) returned to practice Thursday, but was inactive for Sunday's game. Still, the Patriots had better numbers along the line this week, with Haynesworth returning after missing the last two games with a back injury. Vince Wilfork, Kyle Love, Shaun Ellis and Andre Carter were the top four last week.

With Julian Edelman also out Sunday, the Patriots didn't have their top kickoff and punt returner.

With running back Danny Woodhead out, as expected, the Patriots had BenJarvus Green-Ellis and Stevan Ridley atop the depth chart.
