Matt Kuchar, who won several top PGA Tour awards in 2010, signed with agent Mark Steinberg Thursday.

Steinberg's most notable client, Tiger Woods, moved with his agent of 12 years to Excel Sports Management after Steinberg split with IMG in May.

"Matt already has cemented himself as one of golf's most elite competitors, and his accomplishments and accolades speak for themselves," Steinberg said in a statement. "He has established himself as a dominant force and we look forward to helping elevate his profile around the world."

Kuchar, the ninth-ranked player in the world, is currently sixth on the PGA Tour money list with $4,190,587 in earnings this season. The three-time PGA Tour winner, who is playing this week in the McGladrey Classic, holds the distinction of being the highest-ranked golfer on the money list without a victory in 2011.

In 2010, Kuchar claimed the Vardon Trophy from the PGA of America for low scoring average and the PGA Tour's Byron Nelson Award for lowest adjusted scoring average. His name also graced the Arnold Palmer award for winning the money title that year.

When Steinberg left IMG and Woods announced his decision to follow his agent to his new employer, questions swirled about which big-name golfer Steinberg would attempt to sign next.

ESM also represents two-time U.S. Amateur champion Danielle Kang.
