ARLINGTON, Texas -- Rangers CEO Nolan Ryan says his club will win the World Series over the St. Louis Cardinals in six games.
Ryan made the prediction on ESPN Dallas 103.3 FM's "Galloway & Company" on Monday afternoon.
"I think we'll get it done in six," Ryan said.
Ryan has a knack for predicting Rangers wins. He set the goal of 92 wins in 2010, and the club got to 90 wins. He said 90 to 95 wins in 2011, and the Rangers set a club record with 96 wins.
Ryan is excited that his team has returned to the Fall Classic and is in position to win the first world championship in club history.
"I couldn't be any happier," Ryan said. "I'm really thrilled that the guys played the way they did this year. To get back to the World Series back to back is a big challenge. So I'm thrilled with what they've done."
Ryan said the way the fans supported the club has been "phenomenal." Ryan said there would be some disappointment if the club doesn't win the World Series this year.

"I always say that if your last game ends in a loss, there's a certain amount of disappointment," Ryan said. "That means you didn't get it done. I can tell you this, from our team, our players, our coaching staff, Ron (Washington), and the front office staff that if that were to happen we would be disappointed that we weren't world champions. After what we experienced last year, they came back very determined to be world champions.
"If it doesn't happen, we're going to be disappointed we didn't get it done. Is that to say we didn't have a great year? No. We had a lot of great things happen. But it would be an incomplete year for us."
