Burnside Halloween

Rocco Carvelli pulls an invert on the big wal at Burnside during the 2011 Halloween festivities.

Every year, the Halloween celebration at Portland, Oregon's D.I.Y. skatepark Burnside goes off. The party and session at Burnside on Halloween is both a celebration of the holiday and the annual anniversary of the park's creation. This year marks the 21st year Burnside has been ridden by Portland skaters. The celebration this year was as big as every other with all the locals and original rippers coming out of the woodwork to skate their shared creation in costumed glory. Portland native and ESPN Skateboarding contributing photographer Garric Ray stopped by the park yesterday to check out the festivities and document some of the fun. When David Gravette, Al Partanen, Mark Scott, Brent Atchley and more show up, you know it's going to be a good time.
