Arkansas' Paul Petrino to make $425K

Associated Press

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- New Arkansas offensive coordinator Paul Petrino will make $425,000 annually, plus another $50,000 for speaking engagements.

Petrino, formerly the offensive coordinator at Illinois, was hired by the Razorbacks on Tuesday to replace Garrick McGee, who was hired as the head coach at Alabama-Birmingham.

McGee made $425,000 as Arkansas' offensive coordinator.

The school released the salary figures Friday.

Petrino previously served as the Razorbacks' offensive coordinator during the 2008-09 seasons under Bobby Petrino, his brother. While with the Illini, he helped guide an offense that broke school records for points per game (32.5) in 2010.

Arkansas is still looking for two assistant coaches following the resignation of defensive coordinator Willy Robinson and departure of special teams coordinator John L. Smith to become the head coach at Weber State.
