NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee defensive back Jason McCourty was inactive against the New Orleans Saints after suffering a concussion a week ago at Buffalo.
McCourty had been a game-time decision after not practicing all week. He warmed up on the field Sunday before the Titans deactivated him. Alterraun Verner started in his spot opposite Cortland Finnegan.
The Saints sat running back Mark Ingram (toe), defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis (hamstring) and defensive end Turk McBride. Tom Johnson started for Ellis.
New Orleans also deactivated cornerback Leigh Torrence, linebacker Jonathan Casillas, tackle William Robinson and receiver Adrian Arrington.
Tennessee sat linebacker Barrett Ruud with rookie Colin McCarthy starting again after being named AFC defensive player of the week. Linebacker Patrick Bailey also was out.
The Saints won 22-17.
