Matt Moore starts against Bills

ESPN.com news services

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- The Miami Dolphins had quarterback Matt Moore for their game against the Buffalo Bills, but left tackle Jake Long was inactive for the first time in his career.

Moore finished the game 10 of 20 passing for 217 yards and two touchdowns as the Dolphins defeated the Bills 30-23.

Moore was listed as questionable coming in after being limited in practice this week because of a concussion and neck injury sustained in a loss to Philadelphia last weekend.

Moore ranks 12th in the NFL in passing. In nine starts this year he has 10 touchdown passes and five interceptions.

Long had his 61 consecutive start streak snapped because of a back injury. Linebacker Koa Misi also was out for the Dolphins.

Buffalo tight end Scott Chandler was out for a second straight game because of a left ankle injury.

Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.
