Best of 2011: The year in skateboarding

Start to finish, 2011 was a year packed with skateboarding progression. Everyone was pushing the level. Take a look back at the year that was with Nyjah Huston, Grant Taylor, Bob Burnquist, Chris Cole and more.

2011 was a year of massive skateboard progression. Between never-been-done tricks, standout video parts, contest carnage and rugged street action, there was always something to watch. Nyjah Huston rose to the occasion in contests and on the streets. Grant Taylor showed the world what all-terrain skating is really all about. Torey Pudwill dropped trick combinations previously only imagined in the context of video games and the MegaRamp riders started twisting 900s as though they were a warm up trick. From the looks of it, 2012 is only going to be more impressive so stay tuned for that.
