2011-12 Eastern Conference champs
In the great tradition of the ESPN NBA Summer Forecast, it's time to roll out our first Winter Forecast.
For foresight, we consulted with 115 of ESPN's best basketball minds, including contributors from ESPN.com, the TrueHoop Network, TrueHoop TV, Daily Dime Live, ESPN TV, ESPN Radio, ESPN Deportes, espnW, ESPN The Magazine, ESPN Insider, ESPN Fantasy, ESPN Games, ESPN Dallas, ESPN Los Angeles, ESPN Boston, ESPN Chicago, ESPN New York, ESPN Stats & Information, ESPN Topics and ESPN Analytics.
And yes, our voters slid their ballots under the door before the Heat waxed the champs, and the Bulls and Knicks pulled out close wins on opening day.
To participate in the discussion and perhaps get your opinion published on this page, #NBApicks is the Twitter hashtag to use. Or you can just follow along at @NBAonESPN. Check out our championship predictions for the West and the NBA.
Enjoy, argue, agree, disagree ...
2011-12 Forecast: Eastern Conference champions
Miami Heat 2010-11 record: 58-24 Lost in NBA Finals of '10-11 playoffs Predicted 2011-12 record: 50-16
@EugeneOliver: As long as they get bench production at key moments and LeBron/Wade/Bosh stay healthy, the Heat should win the East. #NBApicks
