REVELSTOKE, British Columbia (AP) Officials say the second deadly avalanche in western Canada within two days has killed a skier.

Royal Canadian Mounted Police Cpl. Dan Moskaluk said Saturday that the 45-year-old skier died Friday afternoon near Revelstoke, British Columbia.

He says the victim was among a group of 11 people led by a guide who were heli-skiing.

Moskaluk says four of the skiers were caught in an avalanche which completely buried man who died. The remaining members of the group were safely pulled out.

Duncan MacKenzie, 30, a longtime ski patroller, was killed in a snowslide east of Pemberton, British Columbia, on Thursday.
