CHICAGO -- Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Sharp left Sunday's 3-2 overtime loss against the Detroit Red Wings after the first period with an upper-body injury and didn't return.
The Hawks announced Sharp was done for the night at the start of the third period."He's got an upper-body (injury)," Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said after the game. "We're going to do some tests. We'll know more tomorrow."
Sharp scored the Hawks' second goal of the game, his 20th of the season, at 4:19 of the first period and skated eight shifts.
There was no announcement as to the extent of his injury or how it happened.
