Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Raheem Morris has agreed to join the Washington Redskins as defensive backs coach, according to a report in the Tampa Bay Times.

Morris told the Times on Wednesday he will join the Redskins and be reunited with general manager Bruce Allen. Allen held the same position with Tampa Bay when Morris, after a one-year stint as Kansas State's defensive coordinator, returned to the team to coach defensive backs.

Morris was fired Jan. 2 after the Buccaneers closed the season on a 10-game losing streak. In three seasons as Tampa Bay's coach, Morris compiled a 17-31 record, highlighted by a 10-6 mark in 2010.
