Morgan State reinstates Todd Bozeman
By Andy Katz ESPN.com
Morgan State coach Todd Bozeman was reinstated by the school Thursday night and will coach the Bears on Saturday against North Carolina A&T, Bozeman told ESPN.com.
Bozeman had been suspended for the Bears' past three games after an allegation that he struck player Larry Bastfield during a win at South Carolina State on Jan. 7. SCSU president George Cooper made the allegation.
Bozeman was pulled from the road and not allowed to go with the team to Savannah State.
"I was told to report back to work tomorrow morning," Bozeman said. "I'm looking forward to getting back to the team and practice."
Bozeman declined to comment further.
The Bears lost to Savannah State by two and then fell in double overtime against Norfolk State. The Bears beat Hampton on Monday.
Bozeman was not allowed to be at practice during his suspension. The school conducted an investigation into the incident and Bozeman had to appear before a school committee.
Bozeman was in the dark as to his status every day this week until he got a phone call Thursday night to report to work Friday.
