Russian player sets record for hardest slap shot


The Cold War? Long over. The hockey war? Still going, and the Russians just launched the latest attack when KHL player Aleksandr Ryazantsev set the world record for hardest slap shot (114.127 mph). Can the Americans answer? We'll see at this weekend's All-Star Game. (And by "Americans," we probably mean onetime recordholder Zdeno Chara, who is Slovak. But he plays for the Boston Bruins, so close enough.)
