MILWAUKEE, Wisc. -- Los Angeles Lakers rookie guard Andrew Goudelock was released from a Milwaukee-area hospital Saturday after spending the night being treated for dehydration.
Goudelock, 23, felt ill on the Lakers' flight from Los Angeles to Milwaukee Friday and was taken to the hospital once they landed, according to the team.
Goudelock was able to participate in shootaround Saturday and was cleared to play against the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday night. He scored 13 points in 23 minutes of the Lakers' 100-98 loss to the Bucks.
The second-round pick out of the College of Charleston entered Saturday averaging just 2.2 points on 34.8 percent shooting in 7.0 minutes per game as a rookie, but was coming off the strongest performance of his young career.
Filling in for injured point guard Steve Blake (costochondral fracture), Goudelock scored 14 points on 5-for-8 shooting in 20 minutes Wednesday as the Lakers beat the Los Angeles Clippers 96-91.
