John Anderson announces 2012 Bonnaroo lineup

"SportsCenter" anchor John Anderson (and his trusty ol' battle ax) was chosen to announce the 2012 lineup for the four-day Bonnaroo Festival in Tennessee.

Anderson spoke to Page 2 about the chance to do the honors for the big unveiling.

"I do not know how I was selected for the Bonnaroo bit. Alphabetically would be my first guess -- and the fact I am a barometer of what is hip in America. Don't believe me? Check out my profile on MySpace," Anderson said. "It was fun to participate and this is the second time in my 13-year career here at ESPN that I was asked to wear a Flock of Seagulls wig. At least this time they made my hair brown instead of Edgar Winter white. And, by the way, Bonnaroo was the name of our band in high school and our first album was Trusty Ol' Battle Ax. Crazy coincidence, huh?"
