At the Paris Bercy Supercross race in November of 2010, France's Charles Pagés crashed on a front flip attempt that left him in coma for a week with traumatic brain injuries. Pagés eventually recovered from the injury, but because of the severity of his brain injury, he questioned whether or not he would ever ride dirt bikes again. Following intense rehabilitation to recover his vision and balance, Pagés reached a crossroads, and decided in his own words, "not to let the front flip win."
And recently, Pagés decided to riding dirt bikes. For the time being, he is taking his time and slowly recovering his skills on a dirt bike. Considering there was a moment in Pagés life when doctors questioned whether or not he would ride again, it's awe-inspiring to know that he's again suiting up and jumping a dirt bike. Recently, we caught up with Pagés on a recent training run, and shot some of the first photos of Pagés on the long unpaved road to recovery. Welcome back to riding Charles Pagés.
