ECNL U16 Power Rankings

By Sheldon Shealer & Chris Ackels

With the staggered starts of the Elite Clubs National League teams, it made it difficult to release a top five until after play was well under way for a few divisions. Now that nearly everyone is competing, it's time to examine the top teams in each age group.

Throughout the rest of the season, ESPNHS will offer a weekly glance at the top five teams in each age group.

It should be noted, these rankings are not predictive, but rather reactive to the results. In other words, the higher ranked team has accomplished something on the field to earn that position for now. As such, we expect quite a bit of turnover in the rankings throughout the rest of the ECNL season.

KCFC gets the nod at No. 1 for now, but with plenty of season remaining this is a top ranking that could change before the playoffs. Unlike the younger divisions, there's not a clear frontrunner among this talented group of teams, which should lead to an interesting playoff series.
