Nikola Pekovic, Michael Beasley out

Associated Press

OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Minnesota Timberwolves were without two of their top four scorers Friday night against Western Conference-leading Oklahoma City.

Forward Michael Beasley missed his third game in the last eight days because of a sprained big toe on his left foot. Center Nikola Pekovic was not with the team because of a sore left ankle.

Pekovic is second on the team with 13.5 points per game. Beasley is tied for third, averaging 11.5.

Beasley missed games against Utah and the Los Angeles Lakers earlier during the Timberwolves' seven-game road trip. Minnesota, which is also without point guard Ricky Rubio for the rest of the season, lost both of those games.

Pekovic was hurt in a loss Wednesday night at San Antonio.
