Tennis great Martina Navratilova admitted that she messed up during Monday's live broadcast of ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" and might be heading home Tuesday night.
"I blew it," Navratilova said after losing her footing to start the dance with partner Tony Dovolani and never really caught up.
But the great thing about "Dancing with the Stars" is that it's not all about dancing.
The elimination show on Tuesday will combine the first week's totals with the second week's totals and the fans' voting.
And that's where Navratilova -- easily the best female tennis player ever -- could survive.
Navratilova and Dovolani have a total of 37 out of 60 points for two weeks (20 the first week and 17 on Monday). That puts them at the bottom of the 12 contestants. Melissa Gilbert (40) and Gavin DeGraw (41) are also right there.
Opera star Katherine Jenkins (52), actor William Levy (49) and Disney Channel star Roshon Fegan (49) are leading the way on Season 14 of the show. Green Bay Packers wide receiver Donald Driver (45) is in the middle of the pack.
But on Tuesday night, it likely will be Gilbert or DeGraw going home while Navratilova survives.
"I've been very patient and have given my best effort," Navratilova said. "I'm such a perfectionist. Of course, I want to win. I want to feel like a dancer."
