Under-17/18 Academy Rankings

By Sheldon Shealer

The Frontier Division leaders seem all tied up.

This past weekend, the Colorado Rapids retained their undefeated record, but did so with a pair of 1-1 ties with league rivals and top 10-ranked Shattuck-St. Mary's and Minnesota Thunder Academy.

Those results, coupled with the Sockers FC's loss to the Chicago Fire, forced a reshuffling of the ranking positions between Nos. 3 and 10.

Throughout the rest of the season, ESPNHS will offer a weekly glance at the top 10 teams in each age group.

It should be noted, these rankings are not predictive, but rather reactive to the results. In other words, the higher ranked team has accomplished something on the field to earn that position for now. As such, we expect quite a bit of turnover in the top 10 -- especially the bottom three to five spots -- throughout the rest of the Development Academy season.
