Professional snowboarder Gretchen Bleiler is expected to fully recover from Tuesday morning surgery to repair a fractured eye socket.
Bleiler, 31, suffered the injury last week during a trampoline training session in Park City, Utah, according to a news release.
Bleiler, a silver medalist in the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy, is tied among women for the most Winter X SBD SuperPipe gold medals (with Kelly Clark) with four (2003, 2005, 2008, 2010).

Last Tuesday, during a trampoline training session in Park City Utah, professional snowboarder Gretchen Bleiler fractured her eye socket. Bleiler underwent a very successful surgery this morning and is expected to have a quick and complete recovery. Bleiler is grateful for all of the good wishes and support from her family, friends and fans, but appreciates her privacy as she recovers over the next few weeks.
