The Las Vegas woman who allegedly stole Ryan Sheckler's jewelry has pleaded not guilty, and late last week, a Clark County judge set a preliminary hearing for October 15.

The accused, Stacy Salazar, is "absolutely maintaining her innocence," defense lawyer David Chesnoff told, adding, "We're looking forward to being in court."

According to the arrest report, the 25-year-old Salazar -- an acquaintance of Sheckler's since 2008 -- is facing charges of grand larceny for allegedly stealing the pro skater's watch, bracelet, ring, and necklace during the early morning hours of February 27 while he was sleeping in his room at Palms Casino Resort. The jewelry's total estimated value is $90,750.

After reviewing the resort's security cameras and interviewing Sheckler, police officers arrested Salazar at her apartment without incident. After being released on $20,000 bail, Salazar retained the services of Chesnoff. The Las Vegas-based partner at Chesnoff & Shonfeld, Chesnoff is one of the country's highest-ranked defense lawyers, according to sourced information online, and has represented dozens of celebrities, including Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Martha Stewart and Leonardo DiCaprio.

According to the police department's public information office, detectives have not recovered the missing jewelry.

Sheckler's manager, Steve Astephen, president of action sports for Wasserman Media Group, had no comment.
