LYTHAM ST. ANNES, England -- Tiger Woods will begin his pursuit of a fourth Claret Jug and 15th major championship at 9:42 a.m. local time (4:42 a.m. ET) Thursday at Royal Lytham & St. Annes, site of the Open Championship.
Woods, ranked fourth in the world, will be grouped with Sergio Garcia and Justin Rose for the first two rounds. They tee off at 2:45 p.m. local time (9:45 a.m. ET) Friday.
The last time Woods won the Open Championship, he played with Garcia during the final round at Royal Liverpool in 2006. A year later, Garcia lost in a playoff at Carnoustie, his best chance at winning a major championship.
