Veteran Russ Hochstein to Cardinals

Associated Press

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- The Arizona Cardinals have signed 11-year NFL veteran guard Russ Hochstein.

The 6-foot-4, 305-pound lineman played the past three seasons with the Denver Broncos. Before that, he played nearly seven seasons for the New England Patriots and one-plus season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

During his long career, he has made starts at center, guard, tight end and fullback. He won two Super Bowl rings as a member of the Patriots in 2003 and '04.

Last season with Denver, Hochstein appeared in 15 regular-season games and started at right guard in both of the Broncos' postseason contests. Hochstein was a fifth-round draft pick by Tampa Bay out of Nebraska in 2001.
