Russell Westbrook suffered a mild right ankle sprain during the United States' semifinal win against Argentina on Friday, and is uncertain for Sunday's final.
Westbrook was hurt while defending Argentina's Marcos Mata on a screen in the fourth quarter. Westbrook rolled his ankle and left the game with less than four minutes left.
Westbrook went immediately to the locker room after leaving the game.
"Hopefully, he's fine," said Kevin Durant, Westbrook's U.S. and Oklahoma City Thunder teammate, according to the Oklahoman. "Russell bounces back quick from injury, so hopefully this one isn't any different. ... He ran off. It didn't seem like it was too bad. Hopefully, he's all right."
Westbrook has not missed an NBA game in four seasons with the Thunder.
The U.S. faces Spain for the gold medal at 10 a.m. ET Sunday.
