Mike Tannenbaum hurts wrist
By Rich Cimini
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The New York Jets are getting healthier on offense, with wide receiver Santonio Holmes returning Sunday night against the Carolina Panthers, but they suffered a freak injury in the front office.
General manager Mike Tannenbaum injured his wrist Sunday morning during a bike ride with his family. Tannenbaum flew over the handlebars and cut his arm/wrist, requiring six stitches, a team official told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Tannenbaum was expected to attend Sunday's game at MetLife Stadium, wearing a bandage on his wrist.
Tannenbaum, 43, became the Jets' GM in 2006. In his six seasons, the Jets have reached the playoffs three times, twice going to the AFC Championship Game.
