During the last weekend of the summer break in Europe, and for the fifth time in Briec in the western part of France, the Finist'air Show took place again this year. It has become one of the five most important European events, insiders say. Proving this once again were many of the best riders in the impressive lineup Sunday: Maikel Melero, Brody Wilson, Josh Sheehan, Andrè Villa, Wes Agee, Thomas Pagès and Taka Higashino.

The rain that fell on Friday and Sunday before the event disturbed the construction of the course. This course was built by Charles Pagès, brother of Tom and French legend of FMX himself. He did amazing work and put it all together on very short notice to make it work. Despite the conditions, this event was a huge success again. An impressive feat considering no professional promoter was behind Finist'air , just a motoclub of hardcore FMX fans.

Three jam sessions took place Sunday as scheduled and the show closed with a best trick contest in front of a crowd of 10,000 loud fans. Higashino took the win with [what else?] his signature trick, the rock solid flip, that won him win gold at X Games. Wes Agee [second place] and Josh Sheehan [third] rounded out the podium with huge tsunami flips.
