AP Pro32 comments about Rams
NEW YORK -- Comments on the St. Louis Rams by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):
ST. LOUIS RAMS (19)
Chris Berman (ESPN, 23) -- Tough, hard-nosed football for a Jeff Fisher team hardly a surprise.
Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 25) -- A healthy Steven Jackson makes a huge difference for this team.
Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 22) -- Comment currently unavailable
Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 23) -- Much more competitive despite a lack of talent at some key positions.
Bob Glauber (Newsday, 21) -- Rams have already equaled last year's win total. Big effort from kicker Greg Zeurlein, who becomes first in NFL history to boot field goals of at least 50 and 60 yards in the same game.
Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 18) -- The Rams are still looking for their first rushing touchdown of the season. And that's with Steven Jackson in the backfield.
Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 15) -- Not only do they have a tough, physical and relentless defense. They have a quarterback who's starting to excel again.
Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 19) -- They made Russell Wilson look like a rookie before preparing to take down unbeaten Arizona Thursday night.
Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 19) -- Fisher can confuse opposing quarterbacks with his coverage looks. The Rams are playing as well as they possibly can during this rebuilding project.
John Lynch (Fox Sports, 19) -- This team is gutty much like its head coach, Jeff Fisher. On Sunday, they gutted one out vs. Seattle.
Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 19) -- The offense is still struggling but much-improved defense and special teams have the Rams off to a 2-2 start under new coach Jeff Fisher.
Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 22) -- If they go as far as Greg "The Leg" Zuerlein takes them, they will go pretty far.
