AP Pro32 comments about Cardinals
NEW YORK -- Comments on the Arizona Cardinals by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):
ARIZONA CARDINALS (5)
Chris Berman (ESPN, 5) -- Overtime and close wins have long stopped being an accident.
Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 8) -- Kevin Kolb's improved play is a good sign for the most surprising unbeaten team.
Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 3) -- Comment currently unavailable
Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 6) -- Nobody better in overtime right now than this crew. Strong finish last year carrying over to this season as they now have won 11 of last 13 games.
Bob Glauber (Newsday, 5) -- Cardiac Cardinals win in dramatic fashion thanks to Kevin Kolb's late-game heroics. Amazing how this stuff works sometimes. Love how Kolb has overcome the doubts and adversity. First 4-0 start for Cardinals since 1974 and the days of Jim Hart and Don Coryell.
Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 5) -- If the NFL conducted its coach of the year balloting at the end of September, Ken Whisenhunt would be the slam-dunk choice.
Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 4) -- I don't care that they're winning ugly. They're winning.
Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 4) -- The last time these masters of OT were 4-0, Barbra Streisand was crooning about "The Way We Were."
Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 4) -- I thought it would be tough to win without Darnell Dockett but they showed their desire to overcome adversity. Kevin Kolb is making it tough for Skelton to get back on the field.
John Lynch (Fox Sports, 4) -- They were surprisingly challenged by the Dolphins but prevailed. Kevin Kolb is getting better every week.
Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 5) -- A 24-21 overtime home victory over Miami reflects that Arizona took the Dolphins too lightly or the Cardinals may not be staying undefeated much longer.
Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 1) -- They have won eight in a row at home. Even if a lot of the wins have been ugly, they still count.
