The Saints finally got their first win of the season, but that's not what propelled Drew Brees to the top of this week's Cross-Sport Power Rankings. The New Orleans QB threw a touchdown pass for the 48th consecutive game, breaking a record once listed among the NFL's most unbreakable.
Speaking of unbreakable, that was the case for the tie for the No. 2 spot behind Brees, where our panel couldn't decide between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, each of whom scored their team's only two goals in the latest edition of El Clįsico.
Don't think we forgot about the ongoing MLB playoffs either. Four of our top seven are playing October baseball, including the first Triple Crown winner since 1967.
That's how our panel ranked them, but do you agree? Let your voice be heard in the comments, and if you impress the panel, you could be chosen as a guest ranker for next week.
