??AP Pro32 comments about Dolphins??

Associated Press

NEW YORK -- Comments on the Miami Dolphins by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):

Chris Berman (ESPN, 20) -- Now learning to win close games.

Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 22) -- Joe Philbin is getting consistent effort from this team, and it's starting to pay off.

Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 19)

Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 17) -- QB is getting better each week and the defense is legit.

Bob Glauber (Newsday, 22) -- After two gut-wrenching losses in OT, Dolphins make their own luck by beating Cincy on the road. Late INT by Reshad Jones seals it at the end.

Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 20) -- The Dolphins lead the NFL in run defense, allowing an average of only 61.4 yards per game and 2.7 yards per carry.

Clark Judge (, 24) -- I can't believe I'm saying this, but the Dolphins might be the second-best team in the AFC East.

Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 20) -- Don't be fooled by that 2-3 getaway they could easily be 4-1.

Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/, 19) -- They have passed the Jets and Bills in the AFC East. Ryan Tannehill is starting to look like a great pick.

John Lynch (Fox Sports, 21) -- Tannehill is improving by the week and this team is competing every week.

Alex Marvez (, 20) -- Is this really the same team that looked so pathetic during the preseason on Hard Knocks? It sure didn't look like it in Sunday's 17-13 win over Cincinnati.

Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 23) -- Both Ryan Tannehill and the defense have shown improvement, and the Dolphins could be a dangerous team moving forward.
