??AP Pro32 comments about Jets??
NEW YORK -- Comments on the New York Jets by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):
NEW YORK JETS (24)
Chris Berman (ESPN, 23) -- Impressive effort, you CAN use both QBs.
Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 25) -- Tim Tebow not starting is a sign that Jets don't believe in his throwing ability.
Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 21)
Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 22) -- They're simply not good enough on offense right now and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
Bob Glauber (Newsday, 25) -- Another loss for the Jets, but at least this one was respectable. After being demolished 34-0 by the Niners, Jets at least go toe-to-toe with unbeaten Texans before falling short at the end. Mark Sanchez gets to start another week.
Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 22) -- No Darrelle Revis, no Santonio Holmes, no chance for the Jets this season.
Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 25) -- Mark Sanchez isn't the problem with these guys. The rest of the team is. The Jets just don't have enough playmakers.
Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 22) -- Attendance issues could prompt a switch under center to Tim Tebow.
Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 25) -- A team in real trouble. All the pressure appears on Sanchez but it belongs on other areas like receiver talent, run defense, run offense. Worst of all the injuries continue to pile up.
John Lynch (Fox Sports, 25) -- The Jets battled hard on Monday night against the Texans. The injuries to Revis and Holmes really hurt this team.
Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 26) -- The Jets showed plenty of heart in a 23-17 loss to Houston. They just don't have the talent with so many injuries.
Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 24) -- Seems like every week is another week closer to Tebow Time.
