Beau Choix wins Belmont's Rob N Gin Stakes

NEW YORK -- Beau Choix edged Upgrade by a nose Friday in the $80,000 Rob N Gin Stakes on the turf at Belmont Park.

Winning for the first time in seven starts this year, the 5-year-old covered seven furlongs in 1:23.39 with Joel Rosario aboard for trainer Barclay Tagg.

Beau Choix paid $6.60, $3.60 and $2.50. Upgrade returned $4.10 and $3.50, and Saint Pierre paid $5.10 to show.
