Back on Oct. 30 in Las Vegas at the season finale of the Global RallyCross Championship season Ken Block was looking like he was the man to beat and would register his first victory of the year. He had the fastest time in seeding, won his heat and held the lead through five laps of the final race.
But soon after Tanner Foust passed him on Lap 6, Block's car caught fire and the race was red-flagged. While the rest of the field got to restart, Block's night was over and the above video shows dramatically where that smoke was coming from and how the Gymkhana driver tried in vain to squeeze everything he could out of his Ford.
