AP Pro32 comments about Packers

Associated Press

NEW YORK -- Comments on the Green Bay Packers by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):

Chris Berman (ESPN, 4) -- Bye over. Let's see what Mike McCarthy has cooked up.

Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 7) -- Having Aaron Rodgers makes their injuries easier to deal with.

Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 8)

Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 3) -- Injuries starting to concern me, but I have them this high because of the QB.

Bob Glauber (Newsday, 3) -- Pack hopes week off doesn't interrupt hot streak. They won five of six before the bye, now head to Detroit. Lions have beaten Packers only once in last 13.

Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 6) -- The Packers are coming off their bye and frankly, the arm of Aaron Rodgers needed the week off. He has thrown at least 30 passes in all nine of Green Bay's games thus far.

Clark Judge (, 4) -- The Packers' biggest problem isn't Chicago; it's injuries.

Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 6) -- Bet the over in Motown because the Packers and Lions aren't exactly known for stout defense.

Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/, 10) -- The Packers have been quiet on their bye, but now have the Bears in their sight. The Packer defense needs to get healthy and improve. Without Clay Matthews the pass rush is not very good but the offense can outscore teams. They are a lot like the Patriots.

John Lynch (Fox Sports, 4) -- The Pack and their QB Aaron Rogers are 6-3 and starting to play real good football. A bye should have star players Clay Matthews and Greg Jennings closer to a healthy return.

Alex Marvez (, 9) -- From a player health standpoint, no team needed the bye week more than the Packers.

Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 6) -- They need to survive a tough stretch of schedule before the cavalry arrives of players who currently are injured.
