The Seattle Seahawks have released tight end Evan Moore, according to a source.

Moore signed a one-year, $1 million contract with the Seahawks on Sept. 3 after the Seahawks released Kellen Winslow Jr. Moore, who was signed as a backup, played in 14 games and had one start, but he didn't get much of a chance to get on the field and had just one reception.

The Seahawks recently worked out veteran tight end Visanthe Shiancoe and might consider adding him to the roster.
