Los Angeles Clippers forward Matt Barnes has been suspended one game without pay for striking the neck of Minnesota Timberwolves center Greg Stiemsma during the second quarter of Wednesday night's game, the NBA announced Friday.Barnes was assessed a flagrant foul 2 and was ejected with 8:26 remaining in the quarter. Stiemsma gave Barnes, who was defending J.J. Barea, a high screen and Barnes responded by pushing Stiemsma once, following up by grabbing his neck and shoving him backward. Barnes, who is averaging 11.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.2 steals per game this season, will miss the Clippers' game Friday against the Raptors in Toronto. The Clippers also will be without Chris Paul (bruised right kneecap) and Chauncey Billups, who has tendinitis in his left foot.
