Fond farewells from Griner, Diggins

By espnW

Not only did Brittney Griner and Skylar Diggins give their fans a fond farewell on Monday night in the final home games of their standout careers, but they also made their way into the record books. Heres a by-the-numbers look:

50: Points scored by Griner, a Big 12 single-game record, in Baylor's 90-68 win over Kansas State. Her previous high was 45 points last year, also against Kansas State.

21: Field goals for Griner, also a Big 12 record. The rest of the Lady Bears had a combined 16 field goals, while Kansas State had 23 baskets as a team.

55: Minutes Diggins played in Notre Dame's 96-87 win over Connecticut -- every minute of the first triple-OT game in Notre Dame history. She took 31 shots, tying the school single-game record set by Beth Morgan exactly 16 years ago, on March 4, 1997.

6: It's the sixth win for Notre Dame over Connecticut in the last seven meetings. The last team to win at least six out of seven games against the Huskies was Villanova, which won 14 straight from 1981-89.
