In the film "Venus VS.," director Ava DuVernay will examine how tennis star Venus Williams fought for financial parity for WTA players at the Grand Slams, most notably the French Open and Wimbledon.
The Nine for IX series doesn't debut until July 2, but in the meantime, here are a few behind-the-scenes photos from DuVernay and her crew on location:
