The Philadelphia Flyers have ruled forward Max Talbot out indefinitely with a broken left leg, which he suffered in a 5-4 win Sunday over the Washington Capitals.
Talbot, after pulling the Flyers even 1-1 with a first-period goal, went down late in the second with the leg injury.
The Flyers, who stand last in the Atlantic Division at 15-17-3 with 33 points, already were missing center Danny Briere and defensemen Braydon Coburn, Nicklas Grossmann and Andrej Meszaros.
Talbot, an eighth-year NHL veteran, had five goals and five assists after posting career highs last season with 19 goals and 15 assists.
