TORONTO -- Darel Russell capped a remarkable comeback with a goal in the 90th minute, giving Toronto FC a 2-2 draw with FC Dallas on Saturday.
Russell hammered a right-footed shot from just outside the penalty box off the post and in to beat goalie Raul Fernandez. It was redemption for the English fullback, who was victimized on both Los Angeles goals in a 2-2 tie last weekend.
Substitute Justin Braun assisted on the tying goal after scoring one himself minutes earlier to start the comeback. The big forward, in his Toronto debut, headed the ball in from close range in the 85th after defender Matt Hedges failed to clear the ball.
Andrew Jacobson and Blaz Perez scored for FC Dallas, which had won three straight, including two consecutive shutouts. Braun's goal ended the shutout streak at 272 minutes, the first goal conceded by Dallas since March 17 against Houston.
CREW 1, UNION 1
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Dominic Oduro scored in the 72nd minute to help Columbus rally for the draw against Philadelphia.
Oduro took a pass from Eddie Gaven and struck a rising ball that sneaked inside the right post for his second goal, countering a 34th-minute goal by Jack McInerney.
McInerney received a pass by Danny Cruz from the right flank after the Union beat the offside trap for a two-man break. McInerney scored his third goal into an open net after goalkeeper Andy Gruenebaum came out to challenge.
RAPIDS 1, REAL SALT LAKE 0
COMMERCE CITY, Colo. -- Clint Irwin stopped a first-half penalty kick and Atiba Harris' goal in the fifth minute held up to give Colorado its first win of the season.
Edson Buddle set up the score by sneaking a pass between defenders in the penalty box and straight to a wide-open Harris, who booted it in with his left foot.
A few minutes later, Irwin stopped a penalty kick by Alvaro Saborio to preserve the lead for the Rapids (1-3-2). Irwin has taken over in net for Matt Pickens, who's sidelined with a broken arm.
Real Salt Lake (2-3-1) lost for the second time in three contests.
The two teams finished in a 1-1 draw on March 16 in Utah.
