INGLEWOOD, Calif. -- Jockey Rafael Bejarano and Hall of Fame trainer Jerry Hollendorfer had three winners each on California Gold Rush day at Betfair Hollywood Park on Saturday.

Bejarano is 11 wins away from reaching 3,000 in a career that began in his native Peru in 2001.

Sweet Marini returned $3.60 and $2.80 for Baffert, while Unusual Way was another two lengths back in third and paid $2.60 to show.

In the Tiznow, Kate's Event won for the third time in five starts this year, covering 7½ furlongs in 1:29.31. She paid $10.40, $4.80 and $2.80 for Bejarano and Hollendorfer.

Rock Me Baby was a half-length behind the winner and returned $5 and $4. Planet Sunshine was a nose back in third and paid $5.80.

In the $126,000 B. Thoughtful Stakes, Curvy Cat wore down pacesetter Ismene in the final sixteenth of a mile to win by a length. Curvy Cat ran 7½ furlongs in 1:29.65 and paid $15.80, $7.80 and $4.
